No it’s not the Shrek’s famous Donkey!
Wild asses which earlier were also found across Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran has found its refuge in the Little Rann of Kutch where their population is on the rise.
Don’t mistake them to be lazy as they are always on the move in the almost barren rann and can easily outrun a jeep for sure.
They are a good subject to be clicked against the rising or the setting sun. Just make sure you are not too close to comfort, else they would just zip away and you will be left with your camera and with no ass around 🙂
Though they are light brown coloured, their pictures come out well against the sandy Rann
This is a perfect animal to prove what unconscious bias is all about. Not all asses are donkeys!
Little Rann of Kutch is a great place to meet this lovely beasts. They could be good hosts and you will be rewarded with lots of great pictures to treasure. And the best part is that it’s just 3 hours away from Ahmedabad.
Welcome to the kingdom of asses!
